My own Winning Story: LIVE well, LOVE much, LAUGH often!

me and my hon
In our life, there's ceratin area in which we can say we're a winner. Me? In terms of love, I could say I'm a BIG WINNER! I'm in a relationship with my girlfriend, Kaye, for more than 5 years. Being in a long relationship is so awesome and being a winner is so great. After all we've been through, after all the ups and downs, we still managed to keep our relationship intact. Well, I guess it's because of Kaye open mindedness or her unendless Patience maybe. But maybe without that particular qualities of her, 5 years isn't impossible 'coz I admit I'd been so pasaway before.

I'm a BIG WINNER beacause after all, Kaye never leave me despite of hindrances and circumstances around especially with my condition now. By the way I'm a Cancer patient and feels like fighting for a battle for almost 2 years now. I was diagnosed of having a Bone Cancer last September 2008. Since then, I feel like my ambitions turned out into nothing. Nursing Career is only a dream forever. Though it's really hard to accept, but still I thank GOD for havin' a super supportive and loving parents, friends and most especially a girlfriend and a bestfriend as well. They really helped me in the process of acceptance. They made me believed that maybe GOD has really a purpose and moreso, it almost change my life--lifestyle, attitude and i even became religious person which lead me more to GOD. I learned to Trust GOD even more. I had undergone all of the treatments like surgery, several cycles of chemotherapy and radiation therapy as well which had brought lots of changes to me physically. Due to that physical changes, I undergone the period of adjustment because there are certain advices of my Oncologist that I have to follow strictly for my own sake. That includes no more crowded areas meaning No dates/gimmicks while I am on a treatment mode. No more "paporma" anymore, since I'm immunocompressed already, I have to wear a face masks everytime I go out. No more favorite foods, because I have to modified my diet. I know I really have to deal with all those things just to protect myself and counteract the side effects of my chemodrugs. Anyway, I got over all those things with of course with the help of GOD and supportive people around me especially my girlfriend who almost became my private nurse ^^, who never get tired to love and take care of me, instead lead me to accept all the way she did.

I'm currently undergoing chemotherapy again at one of the tertiary hospital in our country. I feel so glad that my girlfriend never failed to give her all out support. I thank and praised GOD for having someone like her who patiently and wholeheartedly understands my situation and love me for what and who I am rgardless of my condition. That's how BIG TIME WINNER I am in the name of love. It's like more than winning a jackpot prize in the lottery because it's the joyful feeling when I'm with her matters most. I thank and praised GOD also for this gift of LOVE. How about you? What's your big time winning story? Kindly share us, too. :))
